Writing for Barefoot

We welcome all submissions of writing from people of all ages. However, we reserve the right to edit articles (please let us know if you wish to see the edited version before we go to print) and to not publish articles.

We will always endeavor to give you feedback on when your article will be published or the reasons for not accepting it.

If we publish your article you will receive two copies of the magazine in which your article appears and a free 1 year subscription to Barefoot.

The 2010 submission deadlines are as follows:

• Winter – March 1st, 2010
• Spring – June 1st, 2010
• Summer – September 1st, 2010
• Autumn (2011) – December 1st, 2010

Please submit articles by e-mail as an attachment to Charlotte or Rachel by the appropriate deadline.

Writer's Guidelines

Please include two or three sentences of biographical information at the end of the article as you wish it to appear in the magazine.

Please make sure you include your postal address so we can send you two copies of the magazine and your 1 year subscription.

Articles should be either 500-600 words or 1200-1500 words in length. Please include references and further reading where appropriate. For books we need to know the title, author, publisher and price (or 'out of print' if it is no longer available).

Photos for Barefoot

If you have any images to accompany your article, or would just like to see one of your images in Barefoot please send them into us.

You can e-mail images as hi resolution tiffs or jpgs (600dpi) no more than 5 MB, alternatively you can post hard copies to PO Box 401, Eltham, 3095, Victoria, Australia.

Please include an SAE if you would like them returned.
